We are proud to present our collection of Arkive Vintage branded, handmade footwear.
Founded in Northampton, England in 1881, the craftsmen of these handmade Arkive Vintage branded shoes still maintain the original skills and ethics dating back over 125 years. The original black and white photo on the left shows the workers in the actual factory in the 1800's, where our footwear is created.
These dapper, two tone black and white Oxford brogues feature the classic brogue hole punch pattern. Their high profile perforations and serration along the edges of the leather give the shoes a quality finish.
The interior leather sock is cushioned for superior comfort and is stamped with the "Arkive Vintage" branding and "Made in England".
The soles are genuine Goodyear welted leather and rambler soles. This offers the utmost in strength, flexibility, comfort, durability and quality.
The soles are stamped with "British Goodyear Welted Footwear" and "Handcrafted Leather Uppers & Leather Soles" and "Made in England".
There are up to 200 highly skilled stages in the making of a pair of Goodyear welted shoes – from Clicking (cutting) to Closing, Lasting, Levelling and then off to the Making Room before the final stages of Finishing and finally the Shoe Room to clean, polish and brand.
This traditional method of British manufacturing will not only give you a shoe that is comfortable, strong and flexible, but is also insulated and easy to repair.
If maintained, these shoes will have a life expectancy of over 20 years.
A superior, quality shoe of exceptional craftsmanship, exclusive to Arkive Vintage and part of a limited edition run.
