This is a 1960's vintage tweed waistcoat.
It's a dark olive green tweed, with very fine pinstripes of deep red and blue woven into the fabric.
It buttons up high at the front with five buttons, in the style of a 1940's waistcoat.
The waistcoat is smartly tailored with two slanted, jetted pockets at the waist and one at the left chest, and the fabric is cut-away above and below where the buttons sit (as can be seen in the image below), for a superior fit.
It has a buckle with straps on the back to adjust the size and fit.
The fabric appears to be wool on the front and the back appears to be cotton.
The lining appears to be viscose and because of the age of the waistcoat, the lining fabric is flatter in colour and looks antique, which gives this piece a real vintage feel.
