This is a 1960's vintage breton cap.
It’s a traditional navy blue colour made of what appears to be melton wool.
It has a navy blue coloured jacquard band around the body and peak.
In traditional breton cap style, it features a woven rope band around the front of the hat, fastened at the sides with navy blue buttons which feature an image of an anchor.
It has a faux leather sweatband on the inside. The stitching is coming away slightly (about 2cm length) on the right side where the sweatband meets the cap body. This is not visible when worn.
The lining is a fantastic block red and white stripe and appears to be made of satin. It has a patch on the inside with the branding 'Prinz Heinrich'.
