This is a pair of vintage 'Allen Edmonds' branded Oxford Brogues.
Allen Edmonds is an upscale American shoe manufacturing and retail company with over 32 stores in the U.S.A. The company was established in Belgium, Wisconsin, U.S.A. in 1922. This heritage brand pride themselves on using superior leathers such as calf skin and cordovan. These materials are combined with cork footbeds to create unmatched comfort. The shoes remain in the last for at least 24 hours to ensure that they hold their shape for a lifetime.
This particular pair have a black leather upper featuring the classic brogue hole punch pattern.
They have a 6 hole lace closure.
The sole is leather and has a Goodyear welted construction, indicating a very high quality spec. A genuine Goodyear welted leather sole offers the utmost in strength, flexibility, comfort and durability.
The leather sole is also hand stitched for a superior finish and the heels are in great condition showing little sign of wear.
Inside, the leather sock is stamped 'Allen Edmonds’ and "Made in U.S.A." and the style name "McAllister" is also stamped.
The McAllister style is still in production and retails for over $350.
It has been constructed on a narrow last, which means it would suit a narrow footed male or for a female looking for a men's brogue shoe.
They are stamped on the inside as size 6.5, but this is not true to size, so please refer to measurements below.
