This canary yellow dress is in the style of a 1950's day dress.
Although a reproduction and appears to be manufactured in the early 1980's, it is true to 50's style.
It is sleeveless and the cut is wider on the shoulder. It has a stand up collar, and rows of tucking either side of the placket on the front.
It's full circle skirt is unrestrictive and flattering. It could be worn with a petticoat underneath if desired.
There are deep, concealed side pockets on each side seam just below the elasticated waistband.
It appears to be a cotton / polyester blend, as the fabric although crisp does have some minimal stretch.
There are three small, neat yellow buttons hidden behind the placket (as can be seen in the image below) which allow for the front bodice to be opened up to the waistband.
It has a matching yellow fabric belt and rosette brooch.
The label states, it is "Made in U.S.A" by the "international Ladies Garment Workers Union".
Although we have approximated the size as a Medium, it would also fit a Small or Large because of the elasticated waist.
The rosette brooch and fabric belt is included in the price.
