We here at Arkive Vintage have always had a soft spot for vintage Harley-Davidson t-shirts.

Founders William S. Harley and Arthur and Walter Davidson could never have imagined the iconography the Harley-Davidson brand would go on to posses from its humble beginnings in a Milwaukee shed circa the early 1900’s.

It has truly become part of the popular culture having appeared in films, been the subject of songs, most famously the Brigitte Bardot and Serge Gainsbourg 1968 collaboration aptly named ‘Harley-Davidson’, and it is a requirement that you ride a Harley-Davidson if you want to join the notorious Hells Angels Motorcycle Club.

The beloved brand regularly makes appearances on celebrities of all-sorts, giving their look an on-trend street style with a bit of rock ‘n’ roll edge. It has become the de rigueur attire of the festival scene in most recent years, think Coachella, Splendour In The Grass and Glastonbury Festival.
