    Can I return something if I’m not happy with it?

    If you receive your online order and you are unhappy with the way it looks or fits, we will gladly receive your goods back and issue you with a Credit Voucher to spend online (valid for 12 months from the date of issue & emailed to the email address used to place the order), provided that:

    1. It is not a sale or clearance item, or item purchased during a special promotion or discount offer, or pierced earrings or swimwear, unless the item/s are defective

    2. The item has not been worn & is in its original purchase condition (We cannot accept items that have been worn, retain an odour or have been washed)

    3. The original tags are attached to the item and are intact (Please DO NOT cut off tags before trying on items as we cannot accept items where tags have been ‘re-attached’ by customers)

    4. The item is accompanied by its original purchase receipt

    If any of these conditions are not met, we are unable to receive your item for return.

     

    How do I send the item/s back?

    1.  You will need to email us within 7 days of receiving the item/s to request a Returns Authorisation (R.A.) Number by emailing: shoponline@arkivevintage.com

    We will email you back with a Returns Authorisation Number, Returns Form to include with your returned item & Shipping Label to affix to your parcel.

    Please note: Items must be returned at your own cost and we cannot credit the value of the original postage costs, unless the exchange is a result of our error.

    We recommend our customers' send back the item/s via Registered or Express Post so that you can track your parcel, as we cannot take responsibility for your return parcel.

    2.  The item/s must be received by Arkive Vintage within 7 days of your Returns Authorisation (R.A) Number being issued.

     

    PLEASE NOTE :  WE CANNOT ACCEPT RETURNS WITHOUT AN R.A NUMBER AND CANNOT ACCEPT RETURNS AT OUR SURFERS PARADISE STORE FROM PURCHASES MADE ONLINE.

    What happens after I have sent the item/s back?

    Your Credit Voucher will be emailed to you (to the email address used to place the order).  It is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

     

    What happens if I receive a faulty garment?

    Arkive Vintage takes great pride in the quality of our vintage goods and every item that is sent to you is quality checked first.  We are not legally obligated to offer refunds off the purchase price or credit vouchers on items, or exchanges because you have changed your mind. However, our customers are entitled to a refund if the item is faulty, not of merchantable quality or not fit for its purpose.

    Our policy in these instances is that you, as the customer are entitled to a refund for items you have purchased online from www.arkivevintage.com if the item is:

    (a) Faulty and the fault or defect was not pointed out to you before you purchased it or would not have been apparent to you when you inspected the goods before purchase; or

    (b) Not ‘of merchantable quality’, meaning that it is not of the quality that you reasonably expected when you purchased it, keeping in mind the way the item was described to you before your purchase, that Arkive Vintage sells vintage products (i.e. used), and also the price of the item; or

    (c) Not fit for its purpose, meaning that the item does not do what you reasonably expected it would;

    And you return the item/s within a reasonable time after purchase.  We request that you follow our returns procedure of emailing shoponline@arkivevintage.com within 7 days of receipt of goods and then returning the item/s to Arkive Vintage within 7 days of receipt of your Returns Authorisation Number.

    Arkive Vintage reserves the right to ask you to demonstrate that you did not cause or create the fault in the item/s.

    If your returned item/s is deemed faulty, we will refund your original purchase amount to the credit or debit card used in the original purchase.

    Alternatively, you may elect to receive a replacement item, if there is one available or choose to be reimbursed by an Arkive Vintage credit note that may be issued to the retail value of the item, not including postage cost (the retail value of the item is the amount that was paid for the item at the time of purchase).  Arkive Vintage credit notes are valid for six months from the date of issue and able to be used to purchase goods online from  www.arkivevintage.com.
