1990s Woolrich Wool Plaid Bomber Jacket - Made in USA - M
Label sizes of vintage clothing are different to today's clothing sizes, and some items are not labelled at all. We provide specific measurements for each item, as it's the most accurate way for us to help you determine fit with one of a kind garments. We also provide an approximate size to give you a general idea of size and the garment's neck label size (if there is one).
If you require further measurements or have a question about sizing of a particular item, please email us and we'll email you back!
GENERAL SIZE GUIDE - CLOTHING
We list an approximate size in the garment's description. This is to give you a general idea if the item will fit, and should not be used as the sole way of determining size.
Refer to the 'General Size Guide - Clothing' table below to determine your approximate size.
We recommend that if you wish to purchase an item, that you measure a similar garment that you already own, that fits you and then use the look at how we measure our pieces in the 'Specific Size Guide' (with pictures) as shown below.
SPECIFIC SIZE GUIDE - CLOTHING
The best way to calculate your size is to measure a garment that you already own which is similar and you know fits you. Measure it in the same way that we measure our garments as shown in the images below and compare the measurements. It is important to measure your garments whilst they are laying flat.
Dimensions given are in centimetres and the listed measurements do not include any stretch the item may have unless specified.

SPECIFIC SIZE GUIDE - ACCESSORIES
Men's and Ladies Footwear
All our footwear is sized in Australian sizing. Use the conversion tables below as a guide to determine your shoe size.
1. Stand on a level floor with the back of your heels against a straight wall.
2. Measure your foot length by placing a ruler flat on the floor straight alongside the inner side of your foot - from your heel to your toes.
3. Place a straight edged object (e.g. book or A4 paper) horizontally across your toes with the edge touching the tip of your longest toe.
4. Take the measurement from the ruler (in centimetres) of the length of the foot (from the wall to the straight edged object) as in the image below. This is your foot length measurement.
5. If your foot measurement is halfway between sizes, select the larger size. Use the tables above to convert your foot length measurement to a shoe size.
Men's Footwear

....A quick way to determine if the shoe will fit, is by measuring the length of a pair of your own shoes and comparing this to the shoe length measurement listed on the product page....
We also take a measurement of WIDTH, at the widest part of the shoe/boot (see image) and the HEIGHT for boots.

Woolrich established in 1830. We call ourselves “The Original Outdoor Clothing Company” since we have produced high-quality garments for outdoor enthusiasts for over 190 years. Crafting fine and warm wool is our calling, and our mills have lent a helping hand during major historical moments. Woolrich has made big contributions by supplying socks, blankets, and coats to US soldiers providing them warmth and comfort.
As America’s oldest outdoor clothing brand, we have pioneered products that have become icons in their own right. The Buffalo Check, whose name was inspired by a herd of buffalo owned by the Woolrich designer who developed its distinctive red and black pattern, has been a symbol for Americana and workwear since its inception, and remains one of Woolrich’s most powerful visual codes from season to season. The Arctic Parka was designed in the 1970’s for workers constructing the Alaskan pipeline, where maximum daily temprature averages were -40 degrees below freezing. The unmistakable silhouette, pockets and compartments remain relevant today. Woolrich has pioneered the Parka’s evolution in the last forty-plus years, including variations on the fur- lined hood, incorporation of technological fabrics and new eco and sustainable materials.
This quality 'Woolrich' wool plaid bomber jacket is mint vintage condition. Featuring a YKK zip front, two slanted side pockets, chunky knitted ribbed waist band, and a beautiful plaid lining.

Measurements & fit
A vintage tag size is not a modern size. We grade every piece by how it actually fits now, then publish the tape measurements so you never have to trust a tag.
| Taken flat, garment laid out | This piece |
|---|---|
| Underarm to underarmArmpit seam straight across to armpit seam | 67.0 cm |
| LengthBase of the collar to the front hem | 70.0 cm |
Every measurement is taken by hand with the garment laid flat. Allow a centimetre either way.
Vintage sizing is the number-one reason a piece gets returned. Thirty seconds with a tape measure settles it.
