The shirt is the home kit for the 2019–2020 season, made by New Balance.
This kit was released in May 2019 and was worn throughout that successful campaign.
The kit is predominantly red with thin white pinstripes on the front, a design inspired by Liverpool's 1982–83 kit.
The club crest (LFC) is embroidered in gold, the New Balance manufacturer logo is also in gold, and the sponsor "Standard Chartered" is featured across the chest in white.
Unique to this shirt are tributes to legendary former manager Bob Paisley, including his signature inside the collar, and the “eternal flame” at the back of the neck, commemorating the 96 victims of the Hillsborough disaster.
On the right sleeve, the Western Union logo appears as a secondary sponsor.
This specific kit is regarded as one of Liverpool FC's most recognizable and celebrated designs in recent years, due to both its classic aesthetic and the historic success achieved while wearing it.
