This 1950's blue floral dress has an all-over hand painted floral design in tones of cornflower blue, royal blue and forest green on a white background. The overlay is of a sheer fabric and the lining is of the same floral pattern but of a thicker fabric which appears to be acetate. It's silhouette is distinctly 1950's in style, with a scoop collar, cap sleeves and flared skirt with beautiful knife pleating. The waistband panel makes for flattering wearing. It has a metal zip centre back, indicative of it's era. A fresh bouquet of colour in mint vintage condition. Model is a size 8 for reference.
