This vintage 1950's black lace slip dress is by heritage American brand, Seamprufe. A very collectable and wearable piece of history, this slip has stunning design details including intricate lace, ruched bust with satin ribbon hand-sewn into a chevron design. This is also echoed at the hem. The straps are adjustable and are also in a matte satin, characteristic of that era. It should be noted that the straps are in exceptional condition, often rare to find in such an old piece. Its design absolutely lends itself to being worn as a dress. It would look amazing paired back with a coat and kitten heels.
Seamprufe was a prominent American lingerie brand, particularly popular in the 1940s through the 1960s, known for high-quality nylon tricot slips, nightgowns, and peignoir robes often featuring intricate lace, chiffon, and pleated details. These vintage garments, often made in the USA, are now sought-after collector's items.
