This is a rare and collectable, original vintage Luther Vandross t-shirt, from his "Power of Love" tour in 1991-1992. It was his major North Amercian concert series that supported his album of same name and played major venues like Madison Square Garden and the LA Forum, with dates across North America and Europe.
It's a classic piece of R&B and soul history and a prized collector's piece for any R&B and soul music fan.
It features a bold front graphic portrait of Luther with blue and purple script of his name. The back features the supporting artists on the tour including 'Sinbad' (provided stand-up comedy, known for his funky '70s persona in a white fur coat and afro wig), Lisa Fischer (served as a prominent, featured backup singer, sharing the stage and dazzling audiences with her own powerful voice, becoming a significant part of the show's magic alongside Luther's soulful presence) and 'Sounds of Blackness' (the 40-member vocal ensemble opened the show with high-energy spirituals and gospel, adding a powerful, church-like feel).
It's in excellent vintage condition for its age.
